A $350 million hotel to be built at the northeast corner of Cesar Chavez and Red River streets will boost the landscape of downtown Austin.

The hotel, slated to open in 2015, will be crafted by local architect Gensler Austin, and will hold about 1,000 guestrooms and suites. It will also boast 70,000 square feet of meeting space.

Fairmont Austin will be the hotel chain’s second location in Texas.
