Please join us at the Shannon Schmitz Group to support the Austin Children’s Shelter by participating in a school supply drive. Many of us are out purchasing supplies for our own children right now. Wouldn’t it be easy to pick up a few extra items for these children in need?
The Austin Children’s Shelter (ACS) provides residential and non-residential services to children, youth, and families recovering from abuse and neglect. ACS believes that every child and young adult in our community deserves safety and security, and all their programs and services are designed to help abuse survivors recover from trauma and break the cycle of abuse. They provide: emergency shelter, teen parent program with parent education and support, transitional living program for youth ages 17-22, residential respite care, and a child placing agency, Foster in Austin.
The school supply drop-off will take place on August 21, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Austin Portfolio Real Estate office, located at 1611 W 5th Street, Austin, TX 78703. Refreshments will be served to those who contribute.
